We had an ultrasound this week to do measurements they weren't able to get at the last ultrasound and got a good profile shot of our little guy. This is the first time I've been able to see sort of what he looks like. The others he was always facing the picture and looked more like a skeleton. Not that it was in question after the first ultrasound or the amnio results but he hadn't gien us a good definitive picture of his boy parts, but this time he was not shy so we got good visual confirmation! I'm starting to feel movement, which is exciting and enjoying that the nasuea has gone away most days. I'm 21 weeks today and it's starting to be a realization that we have a lot to do to get ready for this little one in 4 short months!
This blog is going to be about the many "Gifts" I have in my life and the story of the Gift family, especially the newest Gift, our baby Colton. I love to take pictures and share stories with friends, so what better place to do that! I am a therapist and Bobby works in sales and are enjoying our new job as parents!

Minneapolis

I've been back a couple of weeks now, but hadn't posted about my trip to Minneapolis with my Creative Memories buddies. 6 of us rented an Expedition and drove to Minneapolis for a 4 day Creative Memories Convention. It was lots of fun as it always is but I had to take a few naps this year to keep up with all of the festivities. Our team mascot is Tigger so he led the way from the dashboard and one evening during the trade show we dressed in our "Tigger Gear". This year CM announced that Make A Wish is going to be our charity we support and they had a family with the most sad yet uplifting story, we were all in tears! It's the amazing stories of helping people save or share their memories, sometimes in heartbreaking moments that continues to inspire me in my business. The decorations and stickers can be fun, sure, but it's telling our stories and showing people what a difference they make in our lives that is priceless.

It's A Boy!!!

We got the news this week and are so excited about having a little boy! More than anything we're happy he is healthy and everything is going well. It's been fun to see him in ultrasounds and my doctor plans to do a couple more before he's born. Now I begin to figure out what in the world we need to prepare for this little one. Everything at this point but I'll be calling on you mommies to help me figure it out. If you have any tips on what's a must have and what not to get I'd love it!
I'm leaving for Minneapolis on Thursday for a Creative Memories convention which is always a lot of fun. Will share more when I get back. Sorry for the underlining, I don't know how to make it stop:)

Updates
I haven't been blogging like I'd like to but I haven't taken many pictures lately and have been sharing baby stiff on my totsite. So I guess I need to do some updates here! I'm 17 weeks pregnant now, so much of my life has been trying to eat, sleep, manage all day sickness and avoid the heat! This week I've been feeling better which is good! I'm going to Minneapolis in a couple weeks for a Creative Memories convention which is always a lot of fun and I'll get to visit some good friends of mine who live there too. We have our next ultrasound August 11th and are hoping they'll be able to tell us the gender. If not I'll have another one a month later, so hopefully this little one will show us the goods at some point!

33 is a fabulous number!

I celebrated my 33rd birthday this week and as much as creeping further in to my 30's usually freaks me out, I've always loved the number 33 and it feels like a good place to be right now. I'm with a wonderful man I love, expecting our first baby, doing work I love almost all the time and working on getting out of debt! I don't know what 34 or 35 will bring so for now I am just planning to enjoy every day of year 33. My mom and my sister were with me most of the week and got me Pottery Barn dishes for my Birthday, then on the actual day everyone had gone home and Bobby and I enjoyed a quiet dinner together at Olive Garden (my choice). Jenny also made me a very pretty cake with yummy homemade icing!

Another Gift
Needless to say we are really excited and I'm sorry I've been MIA from my blog but we wanted to wait a little bit to share our news! So I promise I'll be back more often with updates about the little one and other stuff too:)

The Waiting Game
We wait, and wait and at some point when we meet our baby I know it will be all worth while but for now waiting is not much fun. Waiting to try again, waiting for ovulation then worst wait, waiting to find out if there is a Big Fat Positive(BFP) or Aunt Flow (AF) coming. Then rebuilding hope and waiting for ovulation again. Right now ovulation happened, timing for everything went well and now we wait and hope.
In the meantime we continue to plow through (ok with a little plow compared to how big the debt is) our debt but nonetheless we're plowing!!! I've been driving Ol' Blue this week for the first time and Bobby has my car to try to save some miles on it. I cleaned it out last weekend, it was really gross since I practically lived in it and probably this weekend we'll put it up for sale. Driving Ol' Blue was fun, you have to step on the brakes a little earlier than my car, especially in stop and go traffic! We only have two more weeks of Financial Peace Classes and we paid off our sofa today!!!!!! It was financed from Sofa Express with 0 interest so we kept discussing whether it should wait to be paid but it's next in our debt snowball and it feels really nice to sit on it and know we own it free and clear!
I had a fun and relaxing day last week over break I had lunch with Jenni and Sandy and Isla and then went to visit my friend Ami and her 2 year old little boy and 6 week old little girl, Maggie. I got my baby fix for a little bit snuggling with Maggie.
Hopefully Tandy won't mind that my blog looks alot like hers now, I liked this design and didn't like mine anymore.
